From Karoo Dust To Family Oasis

Our HASEPAD story begins in 1995, on a piece of untouched land in the heart of the Karoo. Where there was once nothing but open space and possibilities, a family dream took root.

The Strydom Family turned the once arid piece of land into a family oasis with various orchards, ranging from pecan nuts and almonds to apricots and peaches.

The Heart of HASEPAD

Today, HASEPAD is also home to our honey bees and sheep. This diverse harvest of honey, nuts, fruit and mutton is the inspiration for everything we create - a direct connection from our land to your hands.

A Founder's Vision

The HASEPAD brand was born from a deep love for this farm and an appreciation for the finer things in life. It is the passion project of Nikke Basson (neé Strydom), who, alongside her husband Conrad, is also a co-founder of leading South African jewellery brand, EDEN & CO.

Inspired by her love for nature, her family and the authentic beauty of HASEPAD, Nikke sought to capture the farm's essence in a single, delightful experience. Her vision was to create an artisanal treat that embodies both the rustic charm of the Karoo and a sense of sophisticated indulgence.

To bring this vision to life, we use the finest ingredients from our farm as the heart of our products. While the recipes are born from our farm kitchen's inspiration, we partner with expert local confectioners who share our commitment to quality. They follow our exacting standards to craft each piece of toffee, ensuring that the spirit of HASEPAD - its quality, its heritage, and its natural bounty - is present in every bite.
